So about a month ago, where I had a quiet evening in the airport I pulled Chrome DevTools from the git repo, and wrapped the app with node-webkit. A few hours later, after figuring out how node-webkit worked, I had a functional prototype of DevTools as a standalone app.

Let me introduce what I call the Chrome DevTools App. It's a standalone app that runs Chrome DevTools in its own process. It's powered by node-webkit, and it's able to run on Windows, Mac and Linux, completely independently of Chrome.

When you start the app, you are presented with a list of "targets", similar to how they are presented inside Chrome at chrome://inspect. For now, you'll need to have an instance of Chrome running with remote debugging enabled, before the targets show up, but going forward we can make that much easier.

Today both node-inspector and PonyDebugger are including their own DevTools front-end, which is a version of Chrome DevTools hosted via a small HTTP server running locally. By having DevTools as a standalone app, there isn't a need for these tools to include their own front-end.

For some reason, chrome will detect your Operation system architect is 64 or 32 for get link download.

Link will show as link below on url bar. If you use 64 bit system and want to download 32 bit simple change TRUE to FALSE in url bar

I check and install updates once a week, except for I just finished TWO computers, and then found out that the chrome I JUST installed was out of date. I had to update the chrome on 3 more computers that I use, but on the one I dropped off at the client in the next city? I had to go pick up the machine, bring it back, update it, optimize it, and return it.

The 1Password manager extension is our newer 1Password in the browser: -started-browser/

It is a standalone extension that does not connect to the desktop app (yet) and shows up automatically inside usernames/password fields when you visit a website, making it super easy to autofill and save new logins or even generate passwords.

We recommend using this extension because of the enhanced autofilling it provides. It does not have a keyboard shortcut to autofill because it will show up inside the fields automatically, making it unnecessary to press a keyboard shortcut.

I have a related question. I use a stand alone license on a Windows laptop. My laptop broke and I am setting up a brand new laptop. I have the 1P Windows app working fine on my standalone license. I installed what I believe is the new Chrome extension and it is forcing me to sign into my account with email, secret key and master password. Since I have a standalone license I do not have a secret key. How can I get this new Chrome extension to work?

The new 1Password browser extension always only supported vaults on 1Password.com, so far it has never supported standalone vaults (this was the case even before desktop integration was temporarily removed).

Based on this thread here, it appears Touch ID integration is in the works. And point #2 is explained in your response when you say the chrome extension "is a standalone extension that does not connect to the desktop app (yet)".

Cool, thanks DB! I guess my question was less complete than it should have been. My problem seems to arise from the fact that my chrome profile syncs - i.e., all browser addons and settings sync cross-platform on Chrome. So it seems that I need to have a browser plugin that will function with 1Password 7 on Mac and 1Password?? on Windows. I currently have 8.5 on Windows, and would prefer to keep that, but if that's not possible how can I find which version of 1Pass will allow me to use the same browser addon cross-platform like this?

Hello

I had a task to run the test case by making chrome browser offline and run some steps and then i need back online again and run the rest of the test case.

Can anyone guide me on how to make chrome browser offline.image1366768 102 KB

Idea4: there are some topics about devtools api and how to use it programtically.

Seems like from devtools is the only option left to have chrome in offline mode since 3x.something version

Hello, i completed chrome tracing about 3 times just of seeing what will happen..

Those tracings take internal storage in my android device??

If yes how can i delete these files to free some space..?

When you enable offline drive in the chrome browser it seems by default it makes recent files available automatically. I need to know how much data it makes available offline by default when you enable offline access.

The data that is synced for offline use is stored in the "Chrome cache" folder on your computer's hard drive. However, the exact location of this folder may vary depending on your operating system. Generally, on Windows, it can be found at C:\Users[username]\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Cache, on Mac at /Users/[username]/Library/Caches/Google/Chrome/Default/Cache, and on Linux at ~/.cache/google-chrome/Default/Cache.

Thats for my Xfce desktop with lightdm installed(instructions explain this may vary according to DE.)

Once this was created My computer shows up under the chrome-remote-desktop and i was able to create a pin however immediately after enabling it my phone will only show it as offline. This was as far as I got and there's little documentation for this in the Arch linux community. Any users care to share thier experiences and possible solutions here's a link to the window: It to shows my compute as offline each time I enter/create a pin and my android shows the same offline lines in the pic

also there's no output running the remote desktop command from the console.

But when using the apps created by it, it breaks my Keyboard maestro macros that uses "Execute JavaScript in Google Chrome", probably because it's trying to execute the JS in the Chrome used by the app, and not the "standalone" Chrome.

strajk,

"tt uses Chrome as an engine, which is pretty neat cause it allows you to reuse your chrome extensions and settings."

The old versions of Chrome before V58 are packed as 7zip self-extracting executable. Just run the executable and extract the files under any folder on your hard drive. Then launch Google chrome with chrome.exe under the extraction folder. After V59, the archived chrome old version files are official Chrome offline installers. Just uninstall any current version of Chrome first and then run the downloaded installer. It's a one-click installer without any interactive UI.

Now getting and downloading the prior versions of Google Chrome is possible. Slimjet share the old versions of Chrome, packed as 7zip self-extracting executable file. Download the one you need, run the executable and extract the files on your hard drive. Simply launch Google chrome with chrome.exe under the extraction folder. You can scroll above for different versions, available in 32- bit and 64- bit.

I just bought the nest mini 2 & nest hub & lastly the new white chromecast. I set up the nest devices 1st with no issues. Then last my chromecast. Set up went fine. I put them all in the same location and room for hopes of being able to pair them & use them all together for a complete package so I can use the nest devices for sound while watching TV on my chromecast. But for some reason chromecast is showing up as offline in my google home app before it even completed setting up my entertainment apps. So I'm unable to use them together or even access chromecast in my home app. I've tried everything on the list of things to try but still offline. I'm extremely frustrated. Can anyone please help me?

As a standalone project, Chrome DevTools frontend can be checked out and built independently from Chromium. The main advantage is not having to check out and build Chromium. However, there is also no way to run layout tests in this workflow.

Running gclient sync in chromium/src/ will update dependencies for the Chromium checkout. Running gclient sync in chromium/src/third_party/devtools-frontend/src will update dependencies for the standalone checkout.

DevTools frontend is also available on NPM as the chrome-devtools-frontend package. It's not currently available via CJS or ES2015 modules, so consuming this package in other tools may require some effort.

Note the parameter standalone=1 appended to the end of the URL. This will get your the full installer that you can then install on your local system without having to be connected to the Internet.

Zotero is a free, simple plug-in (for Firefox) or a standalone program (with browser extensions to Google Chrome and Safari) that collects, stores and organizes references for books, journal articles, websites and other materials that you've collected and then automatically converts those references into a properly formatted bibliography. It is fairly easy to use, reliable, and well-documented. Zotero can:

Several media players, for example Flash and QuickTime, support scripted contentwith the ability to open URLs in the default browser. The default behavior forFirefox was to replace the currently open browser window'scontent with the externally opened content. If the external URL was a javascript:url it would run as if it came from the site that served the previous content, whichcould be used to steal sensitive information such as login cookies or passwords. If the media player content first caused a privileged chrome: url to load thenthe subsequent javascript: url could execute arbitrary code. e24fc04721
