I worked with James Ferrell at Stanford University with a postdoc fellowship from the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation. I obtained my PhD in the physics department at MIT, where I worked with Alexander van Oudenaarden, doing biophysics and systems biology. My research interests focus on understanding the dynamics of stochastic gene expression and signal transduction in single cells,  with an integration of experiment and theory.
