Qinyou Hu (胡沁悠)
Welcome!
I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at Aalto University. I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics from Rice University in 2024 and my M.A. in Economics from Duke University in 2017. I will join the University of Texas at San Antonio as an Assistant Professor of Economics in the fall of 2025.
My research fields are Development Economics and Applied Microeconomics. I am enthusiastic about topics related to family, education, and health.
My research borrows multidisciplinary insights across economics, psychology, and sociology. I have designed and conducted field experiments, utilizing both observational and experimental data to address policy-relevant questions.
Beyond academic life, I love collecting stamps and DIY LEGOs! I am also an avid runner and passionate about HIIT!
