Severo Ochoa postdoctoral positions are available at IFIC (University of Valencia / CSIC) including in the field of quantum information science and quantum technologies in collaboration with our group.
Application deadline: December 15, 2024.
For more information, please see the announcement at https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/29150.
A PhD position is available in our group at the University of Valencia / IFIC-CSIC. The 4-year position is funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities through the project Quantum metrology with limited measurements (QLiMes).
The project focuses on the theory of precision measurements in the low data regime, and covers the development of a general theoretical framework as well as applications in quantum technologies, in particular in superresolution imaging.
Application deadline: 15 October 2024.

In our 2021 paper, PRX Quantum 2, 010314 (2021), we pointed out how the rich phenomena of electron transfer reactions become available in controllable quantum simulation experiments, based on an engineered Hamiltonian of qubits coupled to harmonic oscillators with the right amount of controlled dissipation. This year, two US-based groups have reported experimental implementations of these ideas in their setups: The trapped-ion group from Rice [So, Suganthi et al., arXiv:2405.10368], and the superconducting qubits group from Yale [Carrillo de Albornoz, Cortiñas, Schäfer et al., arXiv:2409.13113]
A PhD position is available in our group at the University of Valencia / IFIC-CSIC. The thesis will be centered on the topics of quantum information theory, geometry and quantum machine learning.
The position is funded by the European Network CaLiForNIA through a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action. It will be co-supervised in collaboration with the University of Bologna. For more information about the position and details on the application: https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs/195173
