Qigong has been developed in China over thousands of years and continues to change. Qigong is a blanket term for a wide range of Chinese exercises for cultivation and maintenance of health. Mindfulness and meditation are seamlessly incorporated. In Chinese thinking, the seven emotions compromise our physical as well as our mental health. Cultivating a balanced state of mind is a key part of Qigong.
Regular classes are ideal for anyone interested in Qigong and for those who want to start exercise with mindfulness or meditation as part of it. Improving awareness of the body and the breath is the path into mindfulness.
Qigong exercises vary from the deceptively simple to the challenging. There are exercises that are within the grasp of all people. Please read the booklet to find out more about how Qigong can help you.
Contact Sue if you would be interested in joining a class. 1 to 1, 1 to 2 and 1 to 3 classes are also available.
For those who would like to try Qigong before committing to a regular class, please come to a single class with no obligation. Please do not be tempted to go it alone with one of the many DVDs on the market, you will get much more from attending a class.
