Here are a few tips to make your visit easier.
EasyCard is highly recommended during your stay. It can be used for public transportation and at many convenience stores and shops.
Credit cards are widely accepted at hotels, department stores, and larger restaurants, but cash is still useful, especially at local restaurants, cafés, and night markets.
Taipei has an excellent public transportation system. With an EasyCard, you can easily use the MRT (metro) and city buses.
YouBike, Taipei's public bicycle-sharing service, is also very convenient for short trips.
Visitors planning to use YouBike are recommended to download the YouBike app in advance.
Taxis and Uber are also widely available.
Free Wi-Fi is available at many hotels, cafés, and public facilities.
However, a local SIM can be purchased at the airport and will be convenient for transportation app etc. during your stay.
Taipei is generally hot and humid in September, with occasional heavy rain.
Light clothing and an umbrella are recommended.

② Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall/Ximen area
One MRT ride to NTU and convenient for sightseeing.
③ Da’an / Dongmen area
One bus ride to NTU and convenient for sightseeing, restaurants, and cafés.
④ Taipei Main Station area
Two MRT rides to NTU, but very convenient for arrival and departure, especially for participants using the Taoyuan Airport MRT.
⑤ Xinyi area/Taipei 101
One bus ride from NTU, and convenient for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants.
