Our program offers NYS Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training, and CPR/Basic Life Support certification and job readiness support. We also provide English language support to ensure that you succeed in your courses and career.

CNA Program Details:
To complete and receive your CNA certification:
Classes are on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 am to 4 pm
Classes are in-person at CUNY on the Concourse 2501 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY 10468
Attendance is mandatory. You must arrive on time, stay for the whole class, and attend EVERY DAY of CNA class
Lehman College does not follow the same holiday schedule as NYC public schools. You must be prepared for childcare on those days
You will receive a textbook and one uniform (scrubs and shoes)
Duration: The program is approximately 4 months, with additional time for state licensing and testing
Participants also receive CNA job placement assistance
Enrollment Eligibility:
Be an immigrant seeking better or new work opportunities in healthcare
Have a Social Security Number and work authorization
Be an English language learner at an upper-intermediate or advanced level (not fluent/expert)
Have a high school diploma from your country or a GED or TASC from the U.S.
Be able to attend all classes in-person in the Bronx 4 days/week (Fordham Rd & Grand Concourse – 4 or D train)
Prerequisites:
Complete pre-course CPR (Basic Life Support) and CPR training 4 Day Training
Complete pre-course career readiness training - Digital Skills NorthStar Account
CNA Online Lessons Training approximately 3 to 4 weeks coursework
GED or high school diploma and have intermediate to advanced English language skills
