How do I book a tutoring session?
You can send us a message or email to book your first session. We’ll confirm your preferred times and send you an intake form to help us learn more about your child’s needs.
Where do sessions take place?
All tutoring is done in person at the Grande Prairie Public Library—a calm, quiet, and focused environment that supports learning.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are typically 1 hour long, but this can be adjusted based on the student’s needs and attention span.
How do you track progress?
After each session, progress notes and updates are posted, so parents can easily see what was covered and how their child is improving.
Do you give homework or extra practice?
Yes! We often assign extra practice or optional homework to reinforce skills between sessions. Additional worksheets and learning resources are also available for all students.
What are your rates?
Grades K-8 → $35/hour
Grades 9–12 → $45/hour
💡 Bundle discounts and group rates are available upon request.
How do we pay?
Payment can be made by cash or e-transfer at the time of the session (or immediately after). Receipts are not issued (in progress). Bundle payments can be made in advance if preferred.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours’ notice for all cancellations or reschedules. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session rate.
What if we’re late?
If a student is late, the session will still end at the scheduled time. If a student is more than 15 minutes late, it will be considered a no-show, and the full session rate will apply. If the tutor is late, the full time will always be made up or rescheduled.
What if my balance is left unpaid?
All payments are due at the time of session. Once a payment is 2 weeks overdue, a $10 surcharge will be added for each week left unpaid as well as the loss of your spot.
