Dr Aga Shahee is a condensed matter experimenter, distinguished Ramanujan Fellow and Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, University of Kashmir, Kashmir-190006 India. Whose work spans the boundaries of physics, materials science and chemistry. His research focuses on the design and synthesis of strongly correlated electronic systems and quantum materials with multifunctional magnetoelectric properties. Of particular interest are spin-transport, magnetoelectric phase transitions, multiferroicity and frustrated magnetism. One goal of research in is to understand the interaction between crystal structure, magnetism and spin-based electrical transport. This is done in parallel with efforts to understand the structural phase diagram and its correlation with physical properties.
