Dr Aga Shahee is a condensed matter experimenter, distinguished Ramanujan faculty Fellow and Coordinator of Frontier Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences (FRIIS), Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST)-Awantipora, India. Whose work spans the boundaries of physics, materials science and chemistry. His research focuses on the design and synthesis of strongly correlated electronic systems and quantum materials with multifunctional magnetoelectric properties. Of particular interest are spin-transport, magnetoelectric phase transitions, multiferroicity and frustrated magnetism. One goal of research in is to understand the interaction between crystal structure, magnetism and spin-based electrical transport. This is done in parallel with efforts to understand the structural phase diagram and its correlation with physical properties.

In my research career, I have deepened my skills in Sample synthesis (bulk and nano), Single-crystal growth (Flux, CVT), Structural analysis (XRD, Neutron Diffraction, TEM), Magnetic, Electric, and Magnetoelectric Multiferroic property  (Bluk magnetization, Pyroelectric current, ME current, Heat capacity, Dielectric, Magnetodielectric and NMR) measurement, Nanodevice Fabrication using optical and electron beam lithography,  Spin-orbit torques characterization using 2nd Hormonics electric transport measurements, as well as analysis, Scientific writing, and reviewing. My research focus has been on crystallography, magnetism and magnetoelectric-multiferroic properties of SCES and QM materials with frustrated 3D and low-dimensional magnetic networks.
I have 37 publications in reputed international journals and 11 in AIP conference proceedings. I enjoy working with researchers who are making new materials and exploring their crystallography and physics.
