Food Resources

Below is a list of local food pantries that can be accessed throughout the school year and summer. Additionally, there is a federally-funded and state administered program called the “The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).” Children 18 and younger can receive free meals through this program, which is to be eaten at the site. This is at no cost to you and is available during summer school in the Platteville School District. If able to do so, please call ahead to prepare the appropriate number of meals at the Platteville sites (please call the office number listed on the website). We suggest coming closer to the end of the mealtimes to ensure all summer school students are able to get back to class in a timely manner.

To get more information on meal sites, you can text “Summer Meals” to 97779 or call 1-866-348-6479 or go to https://www.fns.usda.gov/summerfoodrocks for other meal sites.
