Draw Me Nearer

Verse 1:

           A                                    D

I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice

            G              A          D

And it told Thy love to me

           A                             Bm

But I long to rise in the arms of faith

              Em       A              D

And be closer drawn to Thee

Chorus:

                   D     D7  G                       D

Draw me near-er, nearer blessed Lord

             Em                                   A

To the cross where Thou hast died

                    D          D7        G                        Gm

Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord

               D                A           D

To Thy precious, bleeding side

Verse 2:

            A                                   D

Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord

              G              A          D

By the power of grace divine

              A                                  Bm

Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope

               Em       A           D

And my will be lost in Thine

Verse 3:

            A                          D

O the pure delight of a single hour

              G             A              D

That before Thy throne I spend

               A                                            D

When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God

          Em           A                  D

I commune as friend with friend!

Verse 4:

                   A                                  D

There are depths of love that I cannot know

           G             A           D

Till I cross the narrow sea

                    A                                D

There are heights of joy that I may not reach

          Em        A                D

Till I rest in peace with Thee
