PuzzThePic — Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how PuzzThePic ("we," "us," or "the App") collects,
uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the PuzzThePic mobile
application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
If you have any questions, contact us at: dnnkdevelopment@gmail.com
1. WHO WE ARE
PuzzThePic is a photo-puzzle game developed by DNNK Development. The App lets
you turn your photos into puzzles and share them with friends. This policy
applies to the PuzzThePic Android and iOS apps and to the related website
puzzthepic.web.app.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We only collect what we need to run the App. The data we process falls into
the following categories:
a) Account information
When you sign in with Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, we receive your
name, email address, and (where provided) your profile photo. This is used to
create and manage your in-app account.
b) Puzzle content
Photos you upload as puzzles, along with related metadata (difficulty level,
challenge type, optional description, and the unique puzzle ID), are stored on
Firebase Storage and Cloud Firestore so they can be shared with the recipients
you choose.
c) Local data on your device
Your puzzle history, completed puzzles, and game preferences are stored
locally on your device in an SQLite database. This data does not leave your
device unless you choose to share a puzzle.
d) Purchase information
If you make an in-app purchase (for example, buying credit packs), the
transaction is handled by Google Play Billing (Android) or the Apple App Store
(iOS). We do not collect or store your payment card details, billing address,
or any other financial information. We only receive a confirmation of the
completed purchase (transaction identifier, product purchased, timestamp) so
that we can grant the purchased credits to your account. Refunds and billing
disputes must be handled through Google Play or Apple under their own
policies.
e) Advertising data
PuzzThePic shows optional rewarded video advertisements through Google AdMob.
When you watch ads, Google AdMob may access your device's Advertising ID
(GAID on Android, IDFA on iOS), approximate IP-based location, ad interaction
data, and basic device information. This data is processed by Google in
accordance with Google's own privacy policy
(https://policies.google.com/privacy). You can reset or limit your
Advertising ID in your device's system settings.
f) Diagnostic and crash data
We do not currently use any analytics or crash-reporting services. Operating
system platforms (Google Play Services and Apple) may collect their own
diagnostic data independent of the App.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information described above to:
- Create and maintain your PuzzThePic account.
- Allow you to create, save, share, and receive photo puzzles.
- Process and credit in-app purchases.
- Show optional rewarded advertisements that grant credits when watched.
- Protect against abuse, fraud, and violations of our terms.
- Respond to support requests you send us.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for personalized
advertising outside of the advertising performed by Google AdMob within the
App.
4. HOW YOUR DATA IS SHARED
Your data is processed by a limited set of trusted third parties acting on our
behalf:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud
Functions, Hosting) — provides account, database, file storage, and
serverless backend services.
- Google AdMob — provides rewarded video advertising.
- Google Sign-In and Apple Sign in with Apple — used as authentication
providers.
- Google Play Billing and Apple App Store — process in-app purchases.
When you choose to share a puzzle, the recipient (the person to whom you send
the link) can view the puzzle image and any optional description you added.
Anyone who has the share link can open the puzzle until it expires.
We do not share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or
any third party for their own marketing purposes.
We may disclose information when required to do so by law, by court order, or
to protect our rights, the safety of users, or the integrity of the App.
5. DATA RETENTION
- Shared puzzles: Public puzzle images and metadata are automatically deleted
approximately 2 days after they are created (via Firestore TTL and a daily
scheduled cleanup of associated Storage files).
- Account profile: We retain your account information (name, email, user ID,
credits balance) for as long as your account exists.
- Local data: Puzzle history stored on your device is removed when you
uninstall the App.
- Purchase records: We retain transaction confirmations for as long as
required by law and to allow customer support and refund handling.
6. YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your account and the personal data associated with it.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing relies on consent).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at dnnkdevelopment@gmail.com from
the address associated with your PuzzThePic account. We will respond within
30 days.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland users: you have
additional rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR / Swiss FADP, including the right
to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California users: under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA),
you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to
delete it, the right to correct it, and the right not to be discriminated
against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal
information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
7. ACCOUNT AND DATA DELETION
You can request deletion of your account and associated server-side data at
any time by emailing dnnkdevelopment@gmail.com from your account email
address. We will permanently remove your account profile and any puzzles
associated with your account. Locally stored data is deleted automatically
when you uninstall the App.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
PuzzThePic is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum
age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information
from children under that age. If you believe that a child has provided us
with personal information, please contact us at dnnkdevelopment@gmail.com and
we will take prompt steps to delete it.
9. DATA SECURITY
Data transmitted between the App and our backend is encrypted in transit
using HTTPS / TLS. Account data and puzzles stored in Firebase are protected
by Firebase Security Rules and stored encrypted at rest by Google. While we
take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of
transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Your information may be processed on servers operated by Google in the United
States or other countries where Google's data centers are located. By using
the App, you consent to this transfer. Where required, we rely on the
standard contractual clauses or other approved transfer mechanisms.
11. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES
The App and the website may contain links to third-party services (such as
Google Play and the App Store). We are not responsible for the privacy
practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy
policies.
12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will
update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes,
we will provide more prominent notice in the App or by email where
appropriate. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance
of the updated policy.

personal data should be sent to:
