My girlfriends mom plays a lot of games on her ipad and i played puzzle craft. It's like dungeon raid but instead of collecting money and experience you collect resources that you use to build things with. I was hooked.

Puzzle Craft is a puzzle game with a bit of strategy in which you try to build a beautiful medieval village. To get resources to build new buildings, though, you'll have to play match-3-inspired puzzles.

To get raw materials and tools, you'll have to solve puzzles. Try to get as many materials as you can by using one move to combine as many identical elements as possible. It's a simple gameplay that's easy to learn.

While I love to cut puzzles in my Swirl Curl, Long Round and Creative styles, every now and then I like to cut a "Grid" cut puzzle. I have developed the concept of "False Edges" in this style, something not readily available from other puzzle makers. My idea for this style came from the old Milton-Bradley 1000 Big Ben puzzles which were made in this style in the 1950's. Some modern wooden jigsaw puzzle makers do cut in the "Grid" style, but the pieces tend to be uniformly of the "two ins and two outs" variety and are generally scorned by collectors. J. K. Straus, No. 222, Brooklyn, NY made grid cut wooden jigsaw puzzles for quite a few years; these puzzle attract some interest on eBay, but nowhere near on the same level as Pastimes and other classic wooden jigsaw puzzles.

9:21 pm - This afternoon I cut puzzle #549, K. Chin's "Lone Cypress, Pebble Beach" for this month's 100 Puzzle Project puzzle - #36. I cut it my rare "Grid with False Edges" style. The puzzle was somewhat difficult to cut as there are a lot of straight lines in the cut, and my current batch of blades has a considerable variety of tendencies, wanting to angle sharply to the right, slightly to the right as is normal or even slightly to the left depending on the blade; plus the angle varies a bit according to how fast the wood is fed into the blade and even by how long the blade has been running!.... so I had to get the "character" of each blade and cut accordingly.

"Grid cut" puzzles are scorned by most puzzle collectors, and as this puzzle is small, with just 108 pieces, anyone who wants to collect a Custom Puzzle Craft 100 Puzzles Project puzzle may have an opportunity to do so at nominal cost. I'll post a picture here tomorrow morning and start the auction sometime tomorrow afternoon. To add something a little different, I plan to time myself on my assembly time and post it in the auction as a challenge. [Note: my assembly time was about 15 minutes].

Puzzle Craft 2 is a puzzle game with some elements of strategy, where you have to try to build a coastal village. In order to get resources, create new buildings, and hire workers, you need to play a fun puzzle game similar to classic match-3 games.

The gameplay is simple but fun. To get all the necessary resources and tools, you have to solve the puzzles. The goal is usually to get as many raw materials as possible, matching all the same elements in a single movement. You can use your tools to pick up all the resources on the screen.

Go through the craft sticks. You want to find 8 straight sticks that lie tight against one another. Some sticks are curved or slightly warped. Save those for another project. Notice that most of the sticks are slightly bowed. Place them side by side so the bowed arch is on the top. Not all of the sticks have this bow. Try to get 8 sticks that are similar. When you found 8 good sticks, keep them in the same order and turn them over. From the back, use painters tape to hold them together.

I received my order in a week and was provided with tracking info which I kept an eye on.

1. Start by painting the back of about 25 puzzle pieces orange

2. Then paint about 6 pieces green, and 5 pieces black then let all pieces dry

3. Once pieces are dry, begin gluing your orange pieces in an oval/pumpkin shape, then fill in your oval with more orange pieces, and layer your remaining orange pieces of top

4. Glue your stem on top of your pumpkin with the green puzzle pieces

5. Now glue on your face with the black pieces, with 2 for eyes, and 3 for the mouth

6. Your pumpkin is complete! And ready to display!

Tools are always a great investment as it doesn't cost a move (day) to use a tool when Farming or Mining and they will help gather scattered tiles, and clean out unwanted tiles. Be mindful of the cost of crafting tools: it doesn't make sense to use an Axe just to collect a Woodpile when you plan to use 1 Woodpile + 1 Iron Bar to make another axe. However, it does make sense to use an Axe to destroy an inaccessible Tree tile in order to be able to collect Pigs. Save tools for when the board is in a bad configuration.

Puzzle Craft is a free match 3 based puzzle / economy simulation (collect experience and money) game. There are two different puzzle boards, mining and farming, which in both you have to match 3 of the same tiles to gain resources. The resources you gain are then used to get buildings, craft tools, or hire new workers, all of which improve your performance on the puzzle board.

First make some of this easy craft clay. When you are done making it, the bottom of your pan will be coated in clay stuff and you will be worried that it will never come out. It will come out, I promise. ?

Instructions:

1. Carefully lay 12 popsicle sticks together. Apply masking tape as shown and press firmly to adhere. Only use masking tape for this step. It will come off without leaving a mess at the end so you can scramble the puzzle.

While this project is just fun in general, it also makes a great gift for grandparents or other relatives. Adding a magnet sheet to the back of the puzzle before cutting the pieces is also a nice alternative turning this into a refrigerator activity! You can use a regular photograph or one that you print directly onto copy paper.

I use a special 5-ply mahogany plywood, which allows me to cut intricate pieces that will not break if dropped. The puzzles are packaged (disassembled), in a sturdy box -- but with no picture! Assembling a puzzle without knowing what it looks like adds to the enjoyment of discovery as the final image comes together. e24fc04721
