Research Interests

Particulate Matter Air Pollution

Her research group probes the chemical formation of particulate matter air pollution and characterizes the water-soluble component of Secondary Organic Aerosol formation from alkyl amines and reduced sulfur precursors. In addition to field studies on farms (poultry and dairy), her group does controlled experiments at an environmental chamber at the University of California, Riverside.

Energy Policy in the Asia-Pacific

After completing a Jefferson Science Fellowship at the U.S. Department of State during the 2016-2017 academic year, she has continued to work on renewable energy and energy efficiency policy through projects with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and the U.S. Department of Energy. The goal of her projects is to bring energy policymakers and university faculty together to identify data gathering and analysis projects that need to be done to make data driven policy decisions, and then develop collaborative projects to work on them together.
