DISCLAIMER: These presentations were created by Elle Phelps in the summer of 2020 based on her experience working and receiving training as a level 1 certified veterinary assistant, foster mom, shelter worker, and personal handling of rescues. Vet clinics and shelters differ on an individual basis, so some of the advice and information provided here may differ from other establishments. Always consult your vet for the best ways of handling and treating a cat. Please do not solely rely on these presentations for information. Links to external websites and pdfs have been provided throughout the presentations for more information and more in depth explanations. The bottom right hand corners of the slides will indicate whether or not more information can be found in the notes section of the slide. If you have any question, comments, or concerns, please contact our secretary, Megan Bates, by email.
For this meeting, we show members all of the slogans that members had submitted for the future club t-shirt competition. Afterwards we go over what we are doing during October, adoptable cats, and how to get your free Fear Free Shelter Certification. Afterwards we go over the different types of FAS that cats exibit.
For our first meeting, we went over who we are, what our club is about, and why we do it. We also discuss about membership fees, when they are due, and how to pay them. If you have any questions about membership fees, feel free to email any of the officers!
