Blindfold Circle Tag
The object is for the group to stay in a circle and avoid being tagged by the blindfolded tagger in the middle of the circle.
Focus Area/Goal: Prioritizing Team over Individual
Debrief:
How did you contribute to the success of the group staying in a circle formation and staying quiet making it difficult for the tagger to be successful?
How did the group respond if any members of the circle started putting themselves first by being loud or intentionally getting closer to the tagger?
2. Focus Area/Goal: Cooperation/Teamwork
Debrief:
What did each person need to do in order to avoid being tagged?
Describe other times in your life when the success of the group depends on each and every individual in the group doing their part.
Get the group in one large circle and have them join hands.
Identify one person to be the tagger. They should come to the center of the circle and put the blindfold on.
Once both the tagger and the group are ready, the tagger moves and attempts to tag anyone in the circle.
The group should try to keep a circular shape and keep the tagger in the center of the circle. Everyone needs to adjust to every step in the same direction that the tagger moves.
The circle should be as quiet as possible to make it more difficult for the tagger to hear where they are.
If anyone in the circle lets go, the tagger in the middle wins that round.
Each round should be 20-30 seconds. Have the group try to see how many rounds they can last without getting tagged.
Blindfold two people and have them join hands in the middle while they attempt to tag. If they drop hands, the circle wins that round.
