An estimated 8.2 to 14.6 million adults in the United States have ADHD and may be unaware of it. In particular, Women, AFAB folx, and People of Color tend to go underdiagnosed in childhood and adolescence due to gender and racial bias in assessment and treatment (Saline, 2022; Bhargava, 2021).
See below for details on our assessment & diagnostic process specifically tuned to catch these and other adult clients whom have otherwise gone unserved.
Our ADD/ADHD & Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessment options are specifically tailored for adult clients aged 18 and older and are divided into two(2) ninety (90) minute sessions:
1) Your first session will feature an in-depth psychosocial history interview to understand your context and experience of symptoms. At the conclusion of the first session, clients will receive a personalized set of four to eight self-report instruments to complete.
2) Your second session will feature a focused, semi-structured clinical interview utilizing an internationally validated instrument to further explore your experience of symptoms in childhood and as an adult.
Following the assessment process, clients will receive a customized assessment report with any diagnosis as appropriate as well as recommendations for next steps. Assessment clients are also eligible for up to two (2) advocacy/accommodation letter upon request, regardless of assessment results, at no additional charge.
