Sun Moon Lake Purple Bud Black Tea

Tea can be said to be one of the most common beverages in our daily life. In Taiwan, everyone knows about the famous black tea come from Sun Moon Lake. When a good cup of tea is presented, its manufacturing process can be said to be hard-earned. "A good cup of tea takes time to get it." Chen Yi-hong, who has experienced many twists and turns in his life before he started his tea business. He originally ran the horticulture business, but he ended his career for some reasons, and his family's economy also faced a downturn. At that time, he met a retired national tea maker from a tea improvement farm by chance. He was not only expected to improving the quality of black tea in Yuchi Township, but also enthusiastically taught many tea-making secrets. With gratitude, Yi Hong entered the tea industry.

When he once went up to the mountain to inspect the tea garden, he inadvertently found a very special tea tree. Its buds were not green like ordinary tea trees, but slightly purple, and the aroma was also different. It is known that this is the native camellia of Sun Moon Lake. It was recorded in the mountains of Shuishalian area, wild tea with a height of 10 feet grew.

However, since this kind of tea was not sold in the market at that time, he diligently took care of the tea garden and cultivated the tea seedlings. Despite the lack of resources, he is indomitable to follow-up production, sales, and gradually do it all by himself, just because of the belief that "I want to deliver good tea to everyone" in order to repay the master's grace and improve the quality of Yuchi Township's black tea.

In 2015, he won the Yuchi Township Black Tea Evaluation and received Special Award for the Taiwan Tea No. 21 Hong Yun.

It is a very big affirmation and encouragement. The tender sprout is like Chen Yihong's unshakable determination in the face of adversity, even in the wind and rain, it silently emits a shining purple light.
