  • Analyzing the throughput performance of the U.S. National Airspace System to complement the delay metrics currently in use.
  • Applying queuing models from wireless networks, manufacturing and highway transportation to model the national airspace at various hierarchical levels for strategic-level decision-making.

Background

Chandrasekar is currently pursuing his graduate studies in Aeronautical Engineering at Purdue University in the United States of America. He has obtained a B.Eng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He was a C N Yang Scholar, a prestigious scholarship awarded to undergraduate students at NTU in honor of Nobel laureate Prof. Yang Chen Ning (Physics, 1957) and was among the top 3 of the pioneer batch of C N Yang Scholars.
