Ambassadors provide walking tours of the Business School, showcasing the key areas within the Krannert and Rawls buildings. During these tours, they share information about the school's facilities, why they chose Purdue and other valuable insights.
New Ambassadors receive a mentor who helps train them for tours, panels, and other activities, ensuring they are well-prepared. They also undergo communication training to build confidence in public speaking and engagement. Visit our Member Onboarding page to learn more.
During panel sessions, a group of five Ambassadors answers questions from the public, discussing various topics. These panels cover everything from reasons for choosing Purdue to favorite dining spots on campus and much more.
Ambassadors participate in regional events, either on campus or in nearby cities, to recruit prospective students for the Business School. These events, provide a platform to showcase the school's offerings and answer questions from potential students and their families. Ambassadors also assist with Scholarship Recipient Dinners, where they celebrate and recognize the achievements of top students.
At the beginning of the fall semester each year, we put on this event to introduce students to all the organizations within the Daniels School of Business. Each organization sets up a table, there's free food, and students can stop by any time throughout the day to find which organizations they might like to join. It’s an interactive way for students to start building their network and get involved from the very beginning of their academic journey.
A community service project where Ambassadors distribute goodie bags in the Krannert Drawing Room to welcome business students back to school or to offer support during finals week. This gesture helps foster a sense of community and encouragement among students.
A community service project hosted by the Ambassadors to collect nonperishable items. We drop off bags in a nearby neighborhood the week before Halloween and we hope that everyone will do the best they can to help. This activity is especially fun because we dress up in costumes and go "trick-or-canning" to local homes on Halloween to collect the items and then donate them to local food pantries.
A community service where the Ambassadors make blankets to donate to a local shelter for those who need it. Ambassadors get together for an afternoon in December with all the supplies and make as many blankets as we can.
