To receive a schedule you MUST meet with ALL your advisors AND submit your CRF before the deadline!
Disclaimer: Filling out a CRF does not guarantee you will get all (or even any) of the courses you request. Have backups!
Under "Register for Classes" card, select "Course Request Form (CRF)."
My advisor recommendations should be pre-loaded.
Click "Submit Requests."
If you make changes, you must resubmit CRF each time!
Can look for space in missed requests from the batch!
Under "Register for Classes" card, select "Scheduling Assistant."
Enter PIN number from ACRF.
Add/drop/modify classes as needed.
All requests are space permitting!
Once Batch Registration Closes, You Will Receive This Email:
Students,
Please read ALL of this message AND save it for future reference.
As of 5 PM Eastern time today, CRF submission is closed, and we will be in the waiting period between batch and open registration. Batch registration schedules will be available for viewing by 5 PM Eastern time on 12-4-25 for students who (a) scheduled AND attended Fall-to-Spring advising appointments with me AND (b) submitted their CRF on or before the deadline.
Batch Schedule Info
Due to the random nature of batch registration, your schedule may not exactly match your Course Request Form (CRF). This is normal and not cause for concern because:
You’ll have ample time to adjust your schedule before the semester starts.
Many students will make changes during open registration potentially opening up space.
You still have many semesters to take any missed courses.
Registration Emergencies
Genuine registration emergencies are rare but do exist. These exceptional situations warrant an email to me:
If you are graduating in the upcoming semester and are missing a course that is REQUIRED for graduation (i.e. not a selective).
Example: A graduating MATH major who still needs MA 425 and did not get it.
Non-Example: A graduating STAP major who did not get their first choice of STAT selective.
Example: A graduating senior who did not get into any Great Issues class and still needs one.
Non-Example: A graduating senior who got into a Great Issues class that was not their first choice.
Example: A MABU major who is missing one or more classes for their university-required minor.
Non-Example: A graduating senior who is missing classes required to finish a minor that is not required to complete their major. (This is unfortunate, but not an emergency… look for seats during open registration!)
2. If you are missing a class that is REQUIRED for you to progress in your degree if not taken in the upcoming semester.
Example: A first-year physics student who did not get PHYS 272H.
Example: A first-year math student who did not get calculus 2 (MA 16200 or MA 16600).
Example: A math education student who did not get their required MATH/STAT/EDCI/EDPS/EDST classes according to their DPG.
Missing Classes
If there is a course you are missing, your best option will be to look for space in the course during open registration. You can look for seats:
Manually using Scheduling Assistant
Using a seat-tracker such as Coursicle
Modifying Your Schedule
To modify your schedule during open registration:
1. Find your time ticket on your student profile. This tells you when next week you can begin to make changes.
2. In myPurdue, navigate to the "Register for Classes" card and select "Scheduling Assistant."
Do NOT select "Course Request Form" as that is only used during batch registration.
3. Select the appropriate term (Spring 2026 - PWL) for your term if prompted.
Do NOT select (PIN); this is for Purdue Indianapolis!
4. Enter your PIN number from your ACRF. Your ACRF was emailed to you and is also available in the Appointment Summary on BoilerConnect.
5. Make changes to your schedule as needed. It is best practice to perform one request at a time AND to wait 2 (two) minutes between requests.

General Open Registration Reminders:
I can't get you into or take you out of classes. Registration "moves" (adds/drops/etc.) must be made by YOU, the student!
All changes are space permitting: no space = no change. If a class is closed, your only option is to wait for space to open.
In general, it is best to add a class BEFORE dropping one.
I will NOT approve “just in case” credit raises beyond 18 credit hours if you don’t meet the qualifications for a credit raise.
Dropping below full-time status (twelve credits) before classes begin (e.g. to make a schedule change) is fine as long as you get back to full-time status by the start of Spring semester.
You may have to wait one (or more) semesters before you can take a “popular” class (e.g. COM 217, EAPS 111/112, etc.).
When modifying your schedule, LOCK all courses you want to keep, or you are liable to lose them.
Professors do NOT control space in classes, so don't email them asking for it.
For that matter, I don’t control space either, so don’t email me asking for space.
Degree requirements (UCore, College of Science core, etc.) CANNOT be taken as pass/no-pass!
CODO Requirements
Want to view CODO requirements to math/statistics majors/physics but need the links to the requirements based on your catalog year? Look no further!
(This page will update with more catalog years as they become available.)
For the MASA honors majors (ASHO, MAHO, STHO), one must first CODO to the non-honors major (ACSC, MATH, STMA) and then CODO to the honors version.
For the PHYS honors majors (PHHO, APHO), one must first CODO to the non-honors major and also be done with the physics core (172H, 272H, 344, 306, 307, 360).
Legend: ACSC = actuarial science; ASHO = actuarial science honors; MATH = core math; MAHO = core math honors; MAED = math education; APMA = applied math
MABU = math/business; MASI = math-statistics; STAP = applied stats; STHO = stat honors; STMA = stat w/math emphasis; PHYS = physics; APPH = applied physics;
PHHO = physics honors; APHO = applied physics honors
The links were originally pulled from here: https://www.purdue.edu/advisors/codo/ (this includes back to the 2017-2018 catalog term).
Note that you can get to the actual catalog pages for the major in question directly from the CODO page without having to re-navigate the catalog in its entirety.
