CONTENTS
The Bachelor in Elementary Education is a four-year program that focuses on preparing excellent elementary educators that can acquire a holistic understanding of their role as Teacher professionals, and active members of the community and as global citizens responsible for reflective classroom practice in elementary schools. This course prepares students in the areas of literacy, mathematics, social studies, and science to create classroom environments that stimulate young students’ curiosity and engage their intellect in ways that directly foster high achievement that specialized in the knowledge of education technology. The principles of diversity, democracy, authenticity, academic rigor and accountability are integrated into the elementary education pedagogy courses.
Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the diversity of learners in various areas.
Manifest meaningful and comprehensive pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) of the different subject areas.
Utilize appropriate assessment and evaluation to measure learning outcomes.
Manifest skills in communication, higher-order thinking, and use of tools and technology to accelerate learning and teaching.
Demonstrate positive attributes of a model teacher both as an individual and a professional manifest a desire to continuously pursue personal and professional development.
