The Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) is a four-year degree program that prepares the students for a career in an outcome-focused and technology rich professional environment. The curriculum is designed to equip its graduates with the professional skills and competencies to meet the dynamic and technological needs of diverse industries and global markets, whether in general business, legal, or medical offices. The BSOA program adheres to the provisions of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum Order No. 19, series of 2017 with the purpose of rationalizing the field of Office Administration. The BSOA program combines courses in office administration, management and technology to prepare the students to assume various general and specialized support, supervisory and managerial positions in the local and global workplace, including self-employment.
The contents of the BSOA program are stringently monitored by the management and the Quality Assurance Center-Curriculum Planning and Development section for the continuous improvement and to keep abreast with the changing and developing educational landscapes in the national and international milieus. Improvements in the offering of BSOA program is guided by national and international trends and policies, such as the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) Memorandum Order No. 56, series of 2012 Policy-Standard to Enhance Quality Assurance (QA) in Philippine Higher Education Through an Outcomes-Based QA, so that students are provided with world-class and up-to-date education that they will be needing once they begin their professional lives beyond the University. The need for the continuing development of the curriculum contributes to the vision of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in becoming The National Polytechnic University.
Program Objectives

▪ Continuous development of an industry-oriented curriculum to produce globally competitive graduates with extensive in demand skills in the field of legal, medical, and corporate organizations.
▪ Provide the students and faculty members with an environment conducive to critical thinking through innovation, research production, presentation, publication, and utilization.
▪ Empower faculty members and administrative employees through professional leadership trainings and advanced technological skills to keep abreast of the global developments in the world of work.
▪ Encourage participation of faculty and students in activities involving different stakeholders from private and public institutions through extension and outreach programs to utilize their expertise and capabilities and develop their social skills.
▪ Foster a variety of partnerships with existing community organizations by developing programs to enhance students’ learning and faculty professional growth, strengthening and expanding opportunities for meaningful, academically-grounded community engagement.
