The project has successfully drawn the attention and aptitude among individuals in the Shukrabad and Kalabagan communities about the multifaceted consequences of plastic waste that can contribute to climate change, overall environment & ecology as well as health.
The satisfaction was overwhelming to see as many as thirty individuals from the physical community engage in hands-on recycling training sessions. Three of them went on to make their unique products by recycling plastic wastes such as wall decoration.
In addition, the highly responsive webinar highlighted the project's ability to transcend geographical boundaries as there were international participants in the online webinar and convey its message effectively to a diverse and far-reaching audience where everyone successfully shared their personal and cultural insights and experiences on recycling as well as got a holistic conception on the current scenario of plastic pollution across the globe through the interactive session with the guest speaker.
It has enlightened individuals about paving the pathway of income through entrepreneurship within the plastic recycling industry.
We found 3 active members of the community who were willing to take on the charge of encouraging their community members to recycle plastic from now onwards
After our awareness campaign, when we revisited the community we saw that 2 families separated their wastes into degradable and non degradable waste
