This work is a thought about mathematics, mathematics as a language and its dependence on phonetic alphabets in the English language.
Please feel free to press the mouse around the circle to form tangents to the circle while assigning the color to the pressed coordinate. The color assigned to the point is a function of the angle between the two tangents. One can also move the slider to see different transformations of the circle.
A take on choice and its reflection. What is a self and how does it flicker with our decisions? Is it all binary or flamboyant like the colors in nature? Overall, this is my initial attempt in film making.
This sketch is to create a naive connection between sound and visualization.
The user can use the play/pause button to start/stop the sound, while the slider allows to change the frequency of the sound from 400 to 1200Hz.
The speed with which the slider is moved results into different concentric circles. These circles represent the change and sudden jumps in the frequency of the sound.
Entropy is randomness. While we see randomness in seasons, our surroundings and sometimes even in our moods we skip and ignore randomness in our languages. This project is to bring in notice that whereas the main idea remains intact and intuitive our languages make it gibberish. The idea is to see how the overlapping of different languages explaining the same concept make it unclear and untrue to its real potential.
Hence the idea was to print the same sentence again and again on top of each other conveying the same meaning. The sentence used here is a property from a subject "Linear Algebra" in Mathematics. Even if you are familiar with the subject or Mathematics of this level you can still get a little bit of idea based on the language you speak and still be confused at the same time. Well that was the intention.
Main sentence : If A is an n*n matrix then sum of the n eigenvalues of A is the trace of the A and the product of n eigenvalues is the determinant of A.
Languages used : English, Chinese, French, Hebrew and Japanese.
Disclaimer: The idea is not limited to the above mentioned languages.
Have you tried walking upside down ? Do you see you eye brows everyday ? Are you looking at them now ? Birth mole on your left cheek - is it wasted or a part of your identity ? Will you be able to lend a part of your body to someone if you know that you don't use it much ?
May be not. But what if I take a carbon copy of that ?

You are looking at the screen now. Are there people talking near you ? Are you listening to music ? Are you saying all these words in your mind ? So much sound but still focused ?
Or is it your vision has taken more control of you ?
