Disclaimer!
My poems are very personal because they are based on my life experience.
Rhyming has been my passion since the 90s, during my teenage years (Feeding my OCD tendency).
I often explore rhyming vocabulary using WordHippo and Rimakata.
The characteristics of contemporary poetry:

Personal Expression: Focuses on personal experiences, emotions, and inner thoughts.
Experimental Forms: Poets may experiment with structure, punctuation, and layout.
Vivid Imagery: Strong, sensory-rich descriptions that bring scenes or emotions to life.
Simplicity & Accessibility: Language tends to be more straightforward, aiming to connect with a wide audience.
Cultural Reflection: Tends to address modern issues, such as politics, social justice, identity, and mental health.
Intertextuality: Often references other literary works or cultural elements.
Spoken Word Influence: Poetry can be performative, influencing rhythm and tone.
Fragmented & Disjointed: Poems may feel incomplete, fragmented, or chaotic, representing complexity in life and thoughts.
Focus on Sound: While not always rhyming, there’s an emphasis on rhythm and the sound of words.
Diverse Voices & Perspectives: Includes a variety of voices, from marginalized communities to global perspectives.
Why Your Original Poetry Might Be Misclassified?
Poetry’s Structured Nature:
Poetry often uses concise language, repetition, or specific patterns, which can resemble AI-generated content. Detectors may misinterpret these stylistic choices.
High Vocabulary Density
If your poetry uses rich vocabulary or unique phrases, detectors might flag it because AI often produces text with similar characteristics.
Short Text Issues
Detectors struggle with shorter pieces like poems, as they rely on analyzing larger samples of text for patterns.
Detector Limitations:
Many AI detectors aren’t designed to handle nuanced, artistic writing, so they misjudge content that doesn’t fit conventional patterns.
