Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship
Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship recipients are selected from a nationwide applicant pool each year. As minimum criteria, students must:
• Be a current student at an accredited U.S. community college or two-year institution with sophomore status, or a recent graduate (within the last five years).
• Intend to enroll full time in an accredited four-year college or university in fall 2025.
• Earn a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above in community college.
• Demonstrate financial need.
They will consider applicants with a maximum annual family gross income of $95,000. During the selection process, the Foundation will conduct a full financial review which will take into account all income and assets of the student and the student’s parents.

A merit-based scholarship ranging in amounts from $500 to $5,000 or a non-merit based scholarship ranging from $500 – $1,000.

Transportation support to the annual GMiS Conference, where Scholars are presented with their scholarship by the sponsor. The 2023 GMiS Conference is scheduled to be hosted in Pasadena, CA.. Scholars will be provided travel beginning TBD.

With 346 scholarships totaling over $1,800,000 awarded last year, SHPE is actively narrowing the gap in the Hispanic STEM education pipeline.

To apply to any of our scholarships, you must first complete our ScholarSHPE Common Application. This will allow you to easily apply to multiple scholarship opportunities without having to start every application from the beginning.

Applications Due November 15
Start your application on October 1, save it, and come back as needed. Just make sure it’s finished and submitted by November 15, 2024.
Our minimum requirements for all scholarships are as follows:
Active SHPE Member (To become an active member, please visit shpe.org and select “Join” in the top right hand corner of the webpage.)
Minimum Cumulative GPA: 2.5 (This is a cumulative GPA as listed on the transcript of your latest academic institution.)
Plan to pursue a STEM degree
Plan to enroll at an accredited two-year or four-year college/university for the 2024-2025 academic year in the United States*

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is pleased to be the administrator of scholarship opportunities provided by our partners. These scholarships can help students cover the cost of tuition, fees, books, and other expenses (varies by scholarship).
HACU Scholarship Criteria
To be eligible to apply for HACU Scholarships, applicants must meet the following HACU Scholarship Program criteria listed below.
Are currently enrolled at a HACU-member institution in the U.S. or Puerto Rico;
Have graduated from a high school (or have earned a high school equivalency diploma) in the U.S. or Puerto Rico;
Have completed your first-semester of college at a HACU-member institution;
Intend to enroll at a HACU-member institution in the Fall of 2024 or Spring of 2025. If you are transferring institutions, the institution must also be HACU-member to be eligible to apply; for the most up-to-date listing of HACU-member institutions, Please Click Here.
Demonstrate financial need if required by the scholarship sponsor (typically determined by the FAFSA or State/Institutional Aid);

Each year, the STEM Scholarship Program awards $10,000 to 200 recipients studying engineering or computer science at a 4-year college or university. Recipients may renew the scholarship up to three times for a total potential value of $40,000 per student.

The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship application opened on October 2, 2023 and is accepting applications until December 15, 2023.
