The eastside of Pueblo is one of the poorest and most diverse areas of Pueblo. By offering youth programs and providing a safe space, we expect to reduce the number of youth crimes and help deter youth from crime and substance abuse. At present there are very few programs on the Eastside and less for children between the ages of 10-18. This is where, we feel, the most impact will be...by offering the high-tech programs we share. We're working with members of the community to bring quality programs to youth who wil learn skills and help with finding careers and information they can take into adulthood.

Our goal is to find youth interested in the programs we offer and offer a more quality driven venue moreso than a large numbers of kids. We want to work with youth who are struggling in school and help find their passion, thereby providing career preparation in a number of areas that may not be available in schools.

We'll be starting more free music lessons again in May 2022, for youth ages 10+. A variety of instruments are available and if we know ahead of time we can have an experienced musician ready to teach. Presently we can teach guitar (acoustic & electric) and drums. Music lessons are given by JImi Ray Smith (a veteran) and others who are local musicians with extensive music backgrounds.

We'll be offering more classes during the year including those on Mental Health. Discussions will be around mental awareness, finance, knowing the ingredients in food, gardening, photography and more were youth ages 10-18 are encouraged to sign up. Students who have taken classes will now teach a class themselves as a learning experience.

YOUTH PROGRAMS! Starting May 6th we will be hosting media, art and gardening classes for youth ages 10-18. All those attending 2 classes or more will receive a monetary stipend of $35 for participating.

Youth will learn about audio & video editing, photography, greenscreen effects and more.

Sign up now for classes.
