The east side of Pueblo is one of the challening and diverse areas of Pueblo. By offering programs and providing a safe space, we expect to reduce the number of youth incarcerated by deterring youth from crime and substance abuse. At present, there are very few programs on the Eastside and less for children between the ages of 10-18. This is where we feel, the most impact will be made. Pueblo House is offering the high-tech programs to youth and helping to build career skills . We are also working with the police and the others in the community to bring youth dedicated programs to our radio station.
Our goal is to find youth interested in the programs we offer, and provide a more quality venue, rather than dealing with large numbers. We want to work with youth who are struggling in school and help them find their passion, thereby providing career preparation in a number of areas that may not be available in schools.
If you have youth who are in need help, give us a call or send a text to PH @ 719-250-3251 or drop an email (from the contact page) and we'll get you signed up for any programs that would help. Our classes and programs are always free at P.H.
Our Future Goals....
The OTR Foundation is in the initial planning stages of building the first "Congressional Medal of Honor, Veterans Tiny Village" on the east side at Norwood & Beech. Our 4 acres, of recently purchased land, will be equipped with homes, work & play areas, and a community center for socializing and meals. Not only will we be providing our heroes a place to live, learn, work, hobby but it will help them be productive members of society and provide an opportunity for youth to learn a skill from a veteran. We're creating a village of like minded individuals who served this Country and now struggle with, not only PTSD, but the rising costs of living. We feel that Veterans who want to give back to society, will gain of sense of belonging and self worth by their participation.
We value all our volunteers and businesses who helped along the way to make the Pueblo House a reality. To all the businesses who helped along the way....we say thank you. It's because of you that we are able to bring these programs to youth!
