Andrea Isabel López is a bilingual science communicator and public health researcher. She has over 8 years of experience in community-based participatory research, science communication, and project management. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she is committed to advancing health equity for the Latine community. She proudly carries her cultural background and believes that engaging the public, especially underserved communities, in a meaningful way through the research process is an essential component in advancing all research. Some of her research interests include risk communication, health communication, and civic science.

R. Darnnell Dorvil, MPH, widely known by his stage name Story Teller Gordon, is a versatile writer, spoken word artist, and dynamic host making waves in the world of performance arts. He is also the founder of FORM NYC, a 501c3 non-profit organization established in 2019. Darnnell's work centers on creating a positive and healthy understanding of masculinity, challenging stereotypes, and fostering open conversations about identity. In 2022 FORM NYC hosted its groundbreaking Men's Health and Wellness event and it has served as a crucial gateway for men to access mental health services, fostering a culture of well-being and breaking down barriers. This event is returning in 2024 after notably navigating over a dozen men to therapy in 2023, as FORM NYC continues to showcase its strong commitment to mental health advocacy. The organization's philanthropic efforts, including impactful coat and toy drives, have brought warmth and joy to those in need. Recognizing the importance of reaching younger demographics, Darnnell and FORM NYC have implemented tailored programming, such as the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program "My Brother is Calling," providing essential emotional intelligence tools for adolescent and young men to become leaders in their communities. With an impressive performance portfolio, Darnnell has been featured on prominent poetry platforms, including Voices In Power, Poetry Me Please, Colored Colors, The Rose Garden Events, APAC, Free Talk BK, and more amplifying the reach of his Public Health mission through art. As displayed in his “Stop Street Harassment” haiku campaign. His captivating performances have graced legendary venues such as the Nuyorican and SOB's, cementing his reputation as a force to be reckoned with on the spoken word stage. Story Teller Gordon's is a nationally recognized touring speaker. His performances at CUNY and SUNY schools, as well as corporate events for esteemed organizations like Microsoft Word, Dove Men’s Care, among others, showcase the universal appeal and impact of his art. With his debut collection of poetry, titled "Don't Speak for Me" scheduled for release in 2024, Story Teller Gordon is poised to make an even more significant mark in the literary world. Darnnell Dorvil, through his alter ego Story Teller Gordon, continues to use his artistic prowess and the platform of FORM NYC to challenge norms, inspire dialogue, and redefine perceptions. With a commitment to authenticity and a dedication to positive change, he remains a dynamic force in the spoken word and public health realms, leaving an indelible mark on every stage he graces.
Assistant Vice President, Arts in Medicine
NYC Health + Hospitals
As Assistant Vice President for Arts in Medicine at New York City Health + Hospitals, Larissa W. Trinder is responsible for overseeing the stewardship, exhibition strategy, conservation, acquisition and curation of the health system’s collection of more than 7400 works of art, the largest non-museum collection in New York City, many dating back to the 1930’s. The visual collection is installed throughout the health system to support evidence-based design principles and enhance patient and staff experiences. In addition, she oversees the development and implementation of evidence-based programs for patients, staff and the community that utilize the arts as a tool in healing. Larissa has a Master’s degree in Public Policy from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Before joining H+H, Larissa worked at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia as the Director of Principal Giving and established the hospital’s Creative Art Policy that integrated art and cultural programs into the main hospital system and their new pediatric mental health hospital. She is a dedicated advocate for the essential role of the arts and humanities as interventions in healthcare systems to advance patient health outcomes, enhance staff engagement and retention and to empower communities.

Kriyol Collective LLC
As a Flatbush, Brooklyn native with a background in public health practice, community-based participatory research, and cultural activism, Véronëque Ignace develops and leads transdisciplinary community engagement efforts, rooted in social change, and seeking to improve community health. Through applied public health practice in diverse spaces, she has steered strategy, program planning, evaluation, and research to facilitate growth, racial equity policies, and orientation toward socio-political community engagement at non-profits, grassroots groups, larger arts institutions, and health organizations. Given her dedication to a rigorous understanding of health and advocacy, Ignace founded the Brooklyn-based action group, Kriyol Collective, to offer consulting services in strategic planning, programmatic and operational development, and creative ideation, using arts practices rooted in oral history and movement, public health, and community organizing. Ignace also currently serves as the NYC FloodNet Community Engagement Manager and is a PhD student at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health.
