ONLINE COMMUNITIES FOR PUBS
Serve drinks, crisps and meals but also serve your community
There are so many social networks, but few are built around very local physical resources such as pubs.
Pubchat.co is being developed as a very local alternative to other socal networks because it will provide customised functions that, amongst others, enable a landlord to chat to his customers, and customers to chat to each other ... online, without the invasion of unsolicited advertising.
Now conversations, ideas and initiatives shared over a pint (or two) can be shared online in a structured fashion, but there is much much more.
The residential community that surrounds a pub can take advantage of new initiatives that use the pub's space and resources.
The pub will benefit from increased footfall, and a potential rebrand as a vibrant community hub.
One such initiative is allowing the pub to receive deliveries on behalf nearby residents who may not be available for normal courier or post office deliveries. Since pubs open later in the evening than most parcel shops, and may be nearer with better parking, they can offer a safe and convenient alternative to instructions such as "leave in the garden" (often ignored) or "leave with neighbour" (who may also be out).
It also provides a genuine excuse for having a swift pint on the way home.

But there are so many other opportunities where a pub can serve those around it. Take a look at these ideas:-
IT courses, buying groups, community shops, lunch clubs, meals on wheels, visiting shops, cinema, games or quiz afternoons, exercise classes, art and craft sessions, talks and information sessions, advice surgeries and repair cafes.
And how does all this magic get promote and organised? Through a dedicated social network that provides all the online tools that enable promotion of ideas and events and also provides surveys and forms that capture interest and registration from the community.
