Congrats to Team X-Physio! We were the winner in the A*STAR Makeathon2022! This year’s A*STAR Makeathon is co-organised with co11ab - BioMedTech incubator tripartite of A*STAR, NTU and NHG. This innovation programme provided a platform for individuals to transform their innovative ideas into prototypes by utilizing the process of making, while collaborating with like-minded individuals.
X-Physio created an AI-powered app that enables remote and personalized physical therapy. The app uses a pose estimation dataset to train its AI model, which detects patients' movements in real-time, corrects their postures, and compares them with precise postures provided by physical therapists. Patients can now perform rehabilitation training at home and receive real-time feedback on their movements. This approach not only improves rehabilitation outcomes but also enhances patient engagement while reducing their travel and wait times. Furthermore, this project offers a more cost-effective alternative for patients seeking treatment.
