Yes. To guarantee your logo on print materials, payment is due by August 7, 2026. Sponsorships after that date are still welcome, but logo placement isn't guaranteed.
Wear your white Color Run t-shirt — it's the whole point, and it washes out.
The race is rain-or-shine. In the event of lightning, we'll postpone and communicate a reschedule date.
We encourage everyone to pick up packets the day before the race, Friday, October 2nd, from 1–7 PM (location TBD). Packets can also be picked up race morning starting at 6:30 AM.
No, only service animals.
The race is about 2 miles. The race starts and ends at Perkins Middle School, with an out-and-back route to Dickson Park.
No. All students must be supervised by a parent or guardian throughout the event.
The color powder is a blend of food-grade cornstarch, FD&C and D&C dyes (food, drug, and cosmetic dyes), and baking soda. It's 100% gluten-free and free of dairy, nuts, wheat, soy, and other common allergens.
Starting in August, P-T students can collect pledges from supporters to cheer them on during the race, with incentives tied to pledges raised. More details coming soon.
This is PIE's first year running the fundraiser in-house — no third-party vendor — which means 100% of proceeds stay in Perkins schools, supporting things like classroom supplies and teacher requests. Some things we've funded in the past: author visits, teacher meals, 3D printers, speech supplies, playground equipment, and more.

Add color packs for $5 during registration — great for spectators or runners to throw on the course. Each pack is 75 grams. A limited supply will be available on race day, so preordering is the best way to guarantee one.
The route is on paved road with one uphill section. We're glad to accommodate requests where we can — email ptpartnersineducation@gmail.com to discuss what you need.
