Autumn Turkey Trot Flyer (1).pdfBrookside PTO Annual Turkey TrotÂ
WATERBURY, VT — The Brookside Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) invites community members, neighbors, friends, and families to kick off their Thanksgiving morning with the annual Turkey Trot fundraiser.
The family-friendly "Run, Walk, or Wobble" event will take place on Thanksgiving morning, November 26th, at Dac Rowe Park. Check-in begins upon arrival, with the official event starting at 8:00 AM.
Participants of all paces and fitness levels are welcome to join the fun. Runners and walkers can choose their own challenge: circling the park 2.5 times for a 3K route, or stretching their legs for 4 full laps to complete a 5K. Layered, festive clothing and comfortable running shoes are highly encouraged.
There is a suggested donation of $10 per participant, and contributions can be made via Venmo, cash, or check during check-in. All proceeds directly support Brookside PTO programs, student initiatives, and community enrichment activities.
For more information, to donate, or to view event details online, visit the official Brookside PTO Fundraising Page. Questions and inquiries can also be directed via email to bpsparentteacherorganization@gmail.com
WHERE THE MONEY GOES
WHERE THE MONEY GOES
The PTO raises roughly $10,000 every year for its kids programming -- all of which goes for purchases and programs to benefit our students.
Here are a just a few examples of how parent money was spent in previous years to provide opportunities for students that they might not otherwise have:
Teacher & Staff appreciation day lunches and events including valentines day.Â
We hosted free family activities such as the Ice Cream Social, Back-to-School, Muffins With Moms, Donuts with Dads, Ice Skating Parties, and so much more!
PTO funds support school wide fitness opportunities like Alpine and Cross Country Skiing
Supports the Backpack program for our kids from Waterbury, Duxbury & Moretown
All K-4 students and staff were able to see a show together at the Flynn Theater each year.
Supported the Four Winds Nature Program.
We paid for supplies for annual, all-school Gifts for Giving holiday craft program.
We offer Teacher/Community Grants annually
A donation to the PTO at BPS is a great investment in our kids!
