The final design is created to be more weight-efficient to maximize flight time. We decided to go with a singular permanent electromagnet and cut down on any extra material, therefore losing the round shape. Below is a 3D model of a rectangular enclosure with a hollow interior. The enclosure has straight vertical walls and is designed for housing the protoboard components. Inside the enclosure, there is a cylindrical structure where the permanent electromagnet would go. The enclosure features openings on two opposite vertical sides, for connectors or cables. The bottom of the structure extends downward as a rectangular base, providing support and stability. The rectangular base would house the batteries that would be swapped out.Â
