General

PsyLinCS UTM will be held on the University of Mississauga campus in Maanjiwe Nendamowinan (Google Maps link here). This is the building housing the Department of Language Studies (formerly New North building), and is next to the Instructional Building (shuttle dropoff site). The workshop will primarily take place in room MN3230, but we hope to have lunch and/or dinner outdoors on the building’s covered terrace. The UTM Maps & Directions site has an excellent overview of public transit options and driving directions to campus, and you can find detailed directions for both on Google Maps.

Parking

The closest parking lot to the workshop is P1 (Google Maps link here), but you can park in any lot on the weekend. Please pay using the Pay and Display machine. A weekend day pass is $6. Non-faculty can fill out a form at the workshop to be reimbursement for this. More UTM parking information is available here, info on barrier free (accessible) parking is available here. and a map of parking at UTM is available here.

Transit

If you’re coming from Mississauga or the west side of Toronto, you may want to use regular public transit to get to UTM. Google Maps can provide transit options, but feel free to email us with any questions. Non-faculty attendees can fill out a reimbursement form at the workshop for transit expenses. Note that if you are coming from Toronto via public transit, you will likely need to use a combination of TTC (Toronto transit) and MiWay (Mississauga transit).

Shuttle

If you’re coming from Toronto, you may want to take the shuttle from the St. George campus. The shuttle leaves from the NW corner of Hart House Circle (at the red X on the linked map). Shuttle tickets are available inside Hart House and cost $7 oneway. Non-faculty attendees can have their shuttle tickets pre-ordered by filling out this form by Thursday September 5, or can fill out a reimbursement form at the workshop. The first shuttle from Hart House that morning leaves at 9am, and one of the organisers will be at the shuttle stop with a sign from 8:40am-9am to help folks get their tickets and then to lead the way to the venue upon arrival at UTM. The full shuttle schedule is here.

Helpers

Before and during registration there will be student volunteers at the main entrance of the building and at the nearest parking lot to help direct folks. These helpers will be wearing red t-shirts that say “junior scientist”.
