Christiana Hammond
is an Associate Professor in Communication and Pragmatics at the University of Media, Arts and Communication, Accra Ghana. She is currently the Rector of the Institute of Journalism, University of Media, Arts and Communication. She has been a plenary at both local and international conferences on communication and media studies and has published widely in areas including media framing, political communication, language teaching, discourse analysis, genre analysis, politeness.ChristianaHammond has been part of some significant grantmanship efforts and community service in Ghana, including a funded project for the Global School Programme, Millennium Promise Alliance (UNESCO) and the Ministry of Education. This project targeted a situational analysis and curriculum mapping of educational materials used in basic schools and to determine the prevalence of ESD indicators and the 2030 SDG Learning Objectives in Educational Policy Documents and Curriculum.
