(Example Picture, Playing as Undead Priest rescuing a trapped Jacque De La Morte not playing the captured animation correctly, was Swapped over Maiden.)
You read that right, you can play as a different character in the story mode stages. But there is a catch, when you do this it has to be characters who appears on the stage example (Story Level: NeoTokyo Krayola, Ghost and Riot Officer as well as the Civilians and other gang members from NeoTokyo) instead of Ghost you can switch him out with Chasity or Riot Officer same goes for Co-op each of you can be a different character. There are many ways to replay levels with funny results. There is a couple of weird glitches that happens like for example if you play as Lady Jane on Chicago she will have no Sounds but you can still play as her and complete the level and even do the boss fight.
For the "Story Mode enemy swap." Yes you can change them out for the hero characters, example instead of rescuing the Maidens and Hunchback ever wanted him to be the hero and his sidekick a Maiden? Well swap out the Maiden with Viola and Swap out Hunchback with Mr. Underwood and you got yourself a silly version of the story. Same with the Bots and CPUs, though if you let them be the Co-op character example I am going to say is Stage: Notre Dame, Co-op Hero: Mr.Underwood the sounds will not play but the game will not crash, it's a small bug I can't seem to avoid in these situations but hey it just works. There ya go have fun with Story silliness. Another Warning if you plan to have "Zombies" as a rescue character instead of Maidens they will die in one hit against the enemies so be careful the game will get a lot harder for you if you do this. Also sometimes the swapped character will not play the CPU animation correctly ever wanted to see the Undead Priest run away like a Maiden, Well yeah I did it and it's hilarious.
A: Ever wondered how Timesplitters 2 would have been if they added an option to have 20 bots? Well now you can, thanks to this method you can play with 20 bots instead of 10!
Q: But, I saw a YouTuber by the name of RyanUkAus make it possible to play with 50 of em on Virus with a Mapmaker Map! Why can you not do this on your cheat table Kanbei?
A: Simple, if you're payed attention in his video he and the bots were all the same character "The Colonel." The reasoning for that is the Game does not like to read too many different characters at once on a game mode. If you try and add more different characters past 21 the game just boots you back to the PS2 Menu not the game menu which sucks and the sound effects will start glitching out, sorry.
Q: Thanks at least I can view my score of which bots sucks the most I guess...
A: Again maybe, maybe not but there is a glitch that happens if you try and view the scoreboard or pause and quit. You gotta move the menu a round a few times in order to get it right. You can quit a game or restart and even view the scoreboard. Another warning, if you keep moving it around too much it may still crash.
Q: Anything else?
A: Yes the game will have a higher chance of crashing so you have been warned!
Q: And HUGE TEAM BATTLES!
A: Well no again (Well sort of but with issues,) There is no way to give the other bots an ID on what team they are on (unless the value matches the team ID 0:Red, 1:Blue, 2:Green, 3:Yellow, and 4:Grey. These will also give you the Bot Character matching those numbers.) They will appear on their own team or sometimes just decide to switch sides. this is a bug when using Cheat Engine with this. There is another bug which may happen during team matches such as you being put on an odd team value as well as some bots away from the one you originally picked. You have been warned.
This version of the Stone Golem is actually the campaign version of the character, his stats are different giving him higher Stamina, very high immunity to fire and he is slightly bigger then the normal one, he does get stuck on some doors but when playing as him you can crouch right under them. (AI/CPU will just run in circles on some maps or find another route to fight you or another bot.)
This version of the Wood Golem is actually the campaign version of the character, his stats are different giving him higher Stamina, No resistance to fire damage just like his playable one, he is slightly bigger then the normal one, he does get stuck on some doors but when playing as him you can crouch right under them. (AI/CPU will just run in circles on some maps or find another route to fight you or another bot.)
This one is actually not playable at all, even with access from Cheat Engine. He can be loaded in map maker and appear fine without glitches on the model. But it's Ai will bug out and just keep walking forward and ignore the player. It's name can be loaded on a added Bot list for using it but, will crash upon loading. Strangely when playing multiplayer he can be loaded as a playable character but the model glitches out with no view model.
This one is yet another unplayable NPC, even with access from Cheat Engine. He can't be loaded in map maker or other modes causing it to crash. It's name can be loaded on a added Bot list for using it but, will crash upon loading. When playing multiplayer it freezes the screen and crashes the game upon loading.
This Version of The Cropolite is obliviously bigger version of the regular one has a different name. It also sports huger stats with a lot of health to spare, Unlike the other NPCs he is really unplayable if it is killed as a bot he does not respawn. When using the boss version on a mapmaker story mode map he will fight against you like the boss version from story mode, but sadly he is too big and he will get cropped out a lot in some parts of created maps due to his massive size.
This Version of the Sentry Bot has quite a few differences then it playable counterpart. For one a lot more health and slower speed. And of course being a bigger version then it's playable one. Other little cool things is it has it's own dead animation from story mode, however it has a glitched weapon animation if holding a pistol it will act like its dual wield instead of single wield. If used on map maker it will act like it's story mode version. When he is caught on fire he will die with a normal on fire animation.
