RULES

Battles MUST be played in the Scarlet and Violet Smogon OU format, with some PSPC specific modifications, unless stated otherwise

• Battles will be played on physical cartridges (Scarlet and Violet Switch games)

• Terastallization is LEGAL

• Limit one (1) Pokémon of each species. This includes different formes

• OHKO moves are banned

• Evasion items and moves are banned

• Forcing endless battles is banned

• Sleep-inducing moves banned

  • Rest, Relic Song, Dire Claw, and Effect Spore are still legal

  • (Note: Sneasler is banned from play)

• The following Abilities, in addition to the above, are banned from play:

  • Arena Trap

  • Moody

  • Sand Veil

  • Shadow Tag

  • Snow Cloak

• The following Items, in addition to the above, are banned from play:

  • King’s Rock

  • Razor Fang

• The following Moves, in addition to the above, are banned from play:

  • Baton Pass

  • Last Respects

  • Shed Tail

• Full Stall archetypes and strategies are BANNED (please see Limited Pokémon for details)

• Timer stalling is heavily discouraged. It is okay to take your time when selecting a move, however please do not INTENTIONALLY timer stall your opponents. A warning will be issued if you are intentionally stalling, and you may be granted a loss at the Gym Leader/Elite Four’s discretion should you continue to do so.

• All battles will have a universal 20-minute timer. This timer is built into the game itself

  • When time is called, battlers may not pick another move

  • The winner will be determined by who has the Pokémon majority. Should there be a tie, the total percentage of HP remaining will be the tiebreaker

    • Should this be a tie, the result will be determined at the discretion of the Gym Leader or Elite Four Member

  • Should a battle go to time, the Gym Leader or Elite Four Member may overrule the result of the battle in the favor of the challenger at their discretion
