Dancing -- My happy place among the chaotic messy outside world we are living in!
Dance on Le Gayi Le Gayi song from Dil To Pagal Hai
Not sure why the video is a little blurred. I was tired to reshoot, this song does require decent amount of stamina!

Just some thoughts about evolution of dance in Bollywood --
In today's era dance steps change with almost every word of the song. So even if the length of the song is shorter dancing efforts are still large.
In 80-90s era dance steps usually used to change with a line or many lines of the song. But since songs were longer, similar dancing efforts I guess as above (Of course assuming one take for whole song)
In the era before that you would have been just fine even if you hold a branch of a tree for the whole song ;) Length of the song is irrelevant :)

Another dance video on Breathless song by Shankar Mahadevan. Still no practice and more importantly no stamina (to perform steps with full energy) But at least some pre-thought definite steps and not on-the-spot choreographic thinking ;) But I guess on the spot is more more fun although it has some weird pauses, late/bad/repeated steps and very imperfect outcomes etc. With pre-thought you have to remember the thought out steps which can take similar pauses :) Best part about impromptu choreography is that it generates a different version of dance every time and you yourself can't possibly recreate exactly same previous version even if you want to ;)

Fun impromptu dance after a long time!
7 min song seems like a long song especially when you are nearing 40! (and also are past anemic) But reminded me of so much of childhood when I used to dance on some typical Bollywood hits in society programs in Ganapati.. Some that I remember are on songs -- Mere haton mein, Chane ke khet mein, Hoton pe aisi baat, Saat samundar paar mein tere.. This last one was hit in society as I was being told. I used to like Divya Bharti because of this :) I remember the pink dress made at home with frills for this and also many steps :) At that time we didn't even have tape recorder to practice, we just knew some hook steps of some songs and everything else was impromptu :) Fun times.. Not to forget primary school gatherings were the real start of all this :)
All I can say is Dancing is fun, it just bothers me that our stamina reduces as we age and so many mid-years having lost touch/practice... (And now all we can do is impromptu stuff. Practice takes just too much efforts and stamina, so that's out of question :))

I tried to learn ballroom dancing at some point - Involved some very basic routines of Foxtrot, Salsa, Quickstep, Rumba, Bolero , Viennese Waltz, Argentine Tango, Bachata, Hustle.
I don't have many recordings of myself (now I don't even remember all those as well), but this is one of them of Bachata Routine!
