Group hosted Prof. Guilherme Rosa from University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA on 27th June 2025. More recently, Prof. Rosa has been working on the analysis of observational data in agriculture, and precision livestock management tools, using a variety of statistical and machine learning methods. This work was presented in the seminar in RVC on the day.

Ankit Hinsu was awarded a travel grant from the Houghton Trust to attend the UKRI-GCRF One Health Poultry Hub: Final Hub Meeting from 7-9 February 2024 at New Delhi, India.

Last month the newest PhD Student, Charlotte Cuffe, had a press release for her project published on the RVC website. Her project is examining equine exertional rhabdomyolysis using a multi-omic approach gathering transcriptomic, epigenetic and genetic information to uncover how and why this syndrome occurs. Two group members Elizabeth Attree and Tom Smedley got the bursary to attend the 39th International Society for Animal Genetics (ISAG2023) Conference to be held in Cape Town, South Africa in July 2-7, 2023.
