Once approved, apply through the national website: https://www.psichi.org/page/JoinToday#.YKHThS2ZM6g
You will then get an email prompting you to pay
You have up until your induction date (usually ~2 weeks after you receive the link) to pay and be considered an official member
You will receive an email from the national office with the subject “Congratulations, New Psi Chi Member” which will include your portal login information. Once you receive this email you are a confirmed official member
Once you receive your portal login information you are considered a national member. This will be an email from psichiweb@psichi.org with the subject line "Congratulations, New Psi Chi Member!" It should be received shortly after you make the payment.
You should receive the payment link from the Psi Chi central office. Then you NEED to pay via the link by your induction date, which is typically about two weeks after you receive this email. Once the link expires, you will need to reapply but ONLY on the Psi Chi website (the Cal Poly application will still be valid). You can also still be considered a member of the Cal Poly chapter without paying the fee, however, you will not be an officially recognized national member and have access to Psi Chi portal perks (conferences, events, scholarships, etc).
If you miss this deadline, email Dr. C at lcacciam@calpoly.edu and she can send you the new link.
No, you can still attend events and meetings, BUT you will not have access to portal information (scholarships, national events, conventions, newsletters, etc) or be a lifetime member.
