Fitness Karma Privacy Policy

Fitness Karma (“the App”) is provided under the Actually Useful App brand. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.
1. Local-First Data Storage
Fitness Karma is designed with a local-first approach.
Your core workout information is stored locally on your device by default. This may include:
• workouts and exercise history;
• sets, repetitions, weight, duration, and distance;
• personal records;
• body weight and body measurements;
• workout templates;
• exercise settings;
• notes;
• rest timer settings;
• backup records;
• app preferences.
This information is used only to provide the App’s functionality.
Fitness Karma does not operate a developer-controlled database or server that stores your workout history.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
Fitness Karma does not collect your workout information on a developer-controlled server.
The App does not:
• sell personal information;
• use personal information for advertising;
• track users across apps or websites;
• create advertising profiles;
• require a Fitness Karma account;
• use third-party advertising SDKs;
• use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
Your locally stored workout information is not available to the developer.
3. Backups and iCloud
If you choose to use the App’s backup features, copies of your Fitness Karma data may be saved to your personal iCloud account or iCloud Drive.
Using backup features is optional.
Your iCloud content is associated with your Apple ID and is managed through Apple’s privacy and security systems. The developer does not have access to your Apple ID, your iCloud account, or your private iCloud files.
Deleting Fitness Karma from your device may remove locally stored information. Backup files stored in iCloud may remain until you delete them separately.
4. Photos and Sharing
Fitness Karma may allow you to save workout progress cards or other generated images to your Photos library.
The App accesses the Photos library only through Apple’s system permissions and only when you choose to perform a related action.
Fitness Karma does not upload your Photos library or saved workout cards to a developer-controlled server.
If you choose to share information through the iOS Share Sheet, the selected third-party app or service handles that information according to its own privacy practices.
5. Notifications
With your permission, Fitness Karma may schedule local notifications for features such as rest timers or reminders.
These notifications are created and managed on your device. They are not used for advertising or tracking.
Fitness Karma does not use a developer-controlled notification server to collect workout information.
6. Support Communications
If you contact support by email, we may receive:
• your email address;
• the contents of your message;
• attachments or screenshots you choose to provide;
• basic technical information you choose to include, such as the app version or device model.
This information is used only to respond to your request, provide support, and diagnose technical problems.
Support communications are not used for advertising or tracking and are not sold to third parties.
Please do not include sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your support request.
7. Third-Party Services
Fitness Karma may use Apple system services, including iCloud, iCloud Drive, Photos, local notifications, and the iOS Share Sheet.
These services are provided by Apple and are governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.
The App does not use third-party advertising, behavioral analytics, or cross-app tracking services.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Workout information stored locally remains on your device until you delete it using the App, erase the device data, or uninstall the App.
Uninstalling the App may permanently remove locally stored information that has not been backed up.
Files saved to iCloud or iCloud Drive must be managed or deleted through your Apple ID and Apple’s iCloud storage controls.
Support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the request, maintain support records, prevent abuse, or comply with applicable legal obligations.
You may request deletion of information contained in a support conversation by contacting us.
Because the developer does not have access to workout information stored locally or in your private iCloud account, the developer cannot retrieve, modify, or delete that information on your behalf.
9. Children’s Privacy
Fitness Karma is not designed specifically for children under the age of 13.
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-controlled server.
Parents or guardians should supervise a child’s use of the App when appropriate.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the App’s functionality or data practices change.
The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
If Fitness Karma introduces features that transmit or share user information, this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before or when those features are released.
