Dr. Arif Hussain develops intelligent, data-driven solutions for modern power and energy systems using artificial intelligence and advanced analytics. His research focuses on smart grid intelligence, cyber-physical energy systems, renewable energy integration, and AI-driven monitoring, control, and optimization of electric power infrastructure. His work aims to enhance grid resilience, reliability, and sustainability through machine learning, digital twin technologies, and intelligent automation. His research has applications in distributed energy resource management, electric vehicle grid integration, power system protection, anomaly detection, and next-generation energy system planning. He joined Louisiana Tech University as a tenure-track assistant professor in Fall 2025.
