More Filipinos will now complete their Step 1 registration in the Philippine Identification System or PhilSys due to the improvements made to the website.
1. Log in to register through https://register.philsys.gov.ph or scan the QR Code;
2. Be sure you have an active mobile number or email address to access the system;
3. Fill in all the needed information;
4. Select the date and physical registration center for the 2nd step of the registration process.
Primary Documents:
PSA-issued Certificate of Live Birth AND one (1) government-issued identification document which bears full name, front-facing photograph, and signature or thumb mark.
DFA-issued Philippine Passport or ePassport;
GSIS or SSS-issued Unified Multi-purpose Identification Card (UMID);
Land Transportation Office (LTO)-issued Student’s License Permit or Non-Professional/Professional Driver’s License

The following identification documents shall be accepted as secondary supporting documents provided that they have a front-facing photograph, signature/Thumbmark, Full Name, Permanent Address, Date of Birth.

Applicants should wear presentable outfits at registration centers for the capturing of demographic and biometric data.
Sleeveless clothes and heavy makeup are prohibited.
Eyeglasses or contact lenses should be removed during iris scanning while earrings, necklaces, and other types of facial piercing must also be taken off.
As the national ID is the valid identity of an individual, it should mirror the filter-free faces of the holder.
PSA also reminds registrants to follow health and safety protocols to ensure the safety of everyone in registration centers.
