Every March, our school participates in "March Mathness." In addition to our math curriculum, lots of fun  math activities were planned throughout the month. We had a school wide iReady Math competition. Congratulations to class K-237 for being crowned this year's champions! We participated in weekly "Convince Me That" challenges, where students were given the answer to a math problem and they had to prove why that answer was correct. Classes partnered up for a math games day. Grade level math bees were held. Additionally, some of our 5th graders got to meet new friends and participate in Jeopardy with students from P.S. 315 and P.S. 193. Thank you to P.S. 315 for hosting us!

Student athletes at P.S. 152 recently had the opportunity to play a basketball game against P.S. 315. Our Owlettes (the cheer/step/dance team) performed during halftime and cheered on and motivated our basketball players. Both teams did an outstanding job displaying their athleticism, good sportsmanship, and teamwork. We are so proud of everyone!

We celebrated Kindness Week in January. Each day of the week had a theme: kindness to yourself (students learned about positive self-talk and affirmations), kindness to our environment (students beautified our building with ways to be kind and kindness posters), kindness to our families (students were charged with helping out their loved ones outside of school), kindness to our staff (students wrote thank you notes to staff members who have made a positive difference in their lives), and kindness to our peers (older students partnered with younger students and made bracelets together). All are reminded that kindness continues everyday of the year.

On December 15, 2023, our school participated in National Gingerbread House Day. Thank you to our Student Government, staff, students, and families for contributing treats to help make this a fun event!

Some classes participated in creating solar ovens. The challenge was to create an oven that would bake cookies without using an actual oven. Congratulations to the classes that designed solar ovens that baked cookies!
