The System for Award Management (SAM.gov) is an official website of the US Government. This website is used in a variety of ways and consolidates many systems and information sources relating to federal financial assistance and federal contracts. Local government entities are given a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) to use for various business relating to the federal government and are required to update their UEI registration at least once per year. The UEI has replaced DUNS, as of April 2022.
There is NO COST to use SAM.gov.
