This talk will cover perspectives from a former state inspector turned national policy wonk in DC. Several interesting experiences with radiation threats, practice drills, and real-world responses will be shared. Tips on personal preparedness as well as global radiological protection improvements will be discussed. Some nuances in Protective Action Guides (PAGs), for radiological incidents and current efforts to better prepare for a successful incident recovery will be covered, plus what you can expect from federal radiation assets.

Over 1,000 Whataburger restaurants create a bigger, better burger as well as name brand condiments sold in grocery stores across 16 southern states. Restaurant Operations incur business interruptions and significant events every day which produce significant safety issues and enormous impacts. The WB Crisis Management (CM) team is tasked with detecting, assessing, verifying, responding and recovering from these disruptions/incidents that occur daily.
