Visit the The Papal Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls (10 minutes walk from the conference venue)
With its imposing Byzantine structure, the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls is one of the four papal basilicas of Rome, the second largest basilica after St. Peter’s.

Visit The Pyramid of Caius Cestius, which ispired Roma Tre University logo (35 minutes walk from the conference venue / 2 metro stops from San Paolo station to Piramide Station)
After the conquest of Egypt in 31 BC on the part of Ottaviano Augusto, following Cleopatra's death, Roman funeral construction began to be inspired by Egyptian models, giving life to a real fashion.
One of those who chose a pyramid as a tomb was Caius Cestius, a praetor, a tribune of the plebs, and a member of the Septemviri Epulones.

Visit Domitilla Catacombs (address: Via delle Sette Chiese, 282; 3 km from the conference venue, you need to take a bus or a taxi)
Domitilla Catacomb is one of the largest and the most ancient underground cemeteries in Rome, part of a property then belonged to Flavia Domitilla going back to the year 120 A.D. The frescos preserved underground in this Catacomb demonstrate the Faith of the first century Christians in Rome.

Visit The Colosseum ( Address: Piazza del Colosseo, 1 / 5 Km from the conference venue, but only 10 minutes by Metro! Line B, 6 stops: from Marconi station to Colosseum station)
Known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, the Roman Colosseum is one of the capital's most remarkable monuments. The construction of the Colosseum began in the year 72 under the empire of Vespasian and was finished in the year 80 during the rule of the emperor Titus.
