About me

Angelica Mendoza Beltran

Environmental Engineer from University of Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, I then obtained a MSc in Industrial Ecology from Leiden University in 2008. Later, I joined the Climate, Air and Energy department at the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL). In 2013, I worked at the Institute of Environmental Sciences (CML) of Leiden University, as an environmental sustainability researcher of the EU FP7 project Increasing Industrial Resource Efficiency in European Mariculture (IDREEM). Since, I have worked on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and uncertainty in LCA, topics in which I obtained my PhD degree in 2018 from Leiden University (PhD Thesis available here). Between 2017 and 2018, I worked for Unilever, as a scientist giving sustainability insights to business projects. In 2019, before starting the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship for PROTEAN, I worked at 2.-0 LCA Consultants as a life cycle specialist. My areas of expertise are in LCA, climate change, integrated assessment modelling, uncertainty in LCA and industrial ecology.
